Each session is customized for your needs: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Movement focused on the possibilities of the joints, and CranioSacral Therapy Techniques.
Swedish techniques are typically less intrusive and more general - long gliding strokes, vibration, friction, kneading, and tapotement. These techniques encourage general circulation and relaxation.
Deep Tissue techniques are more specific with deep pressure in longer duration. Deep tissue is often used with chronic issues of muscle tension or injury.
CranioSacral Therapy is more subtle work and requires very light touch. These techniques free movement throughout the cranium, spinal cord, and sacrum through fascial release. By releasing blockages, the cerebrospinal fluid is able to move more freely and allow for optimal functioning throughout the central nervous system.
Feldenkrais Method offers attention to functionality in movement. Experienced as movement and subtle connections of the joints and guided attention. The Feldenkrais Method is more than movement - it is a philosophy and method of inquiry. Awareness is the key to knowing yourself, and through knowing yourself you can be released of patterns both emotional and physical.
By seamlessly integrating these techniques, I intend to provide a session that raises your body awareness, allows for tissue change, and relaxes you in the process.
